Eden Prairie, Minnesota (September 19, 2023) – Starkey was proud to conduct a Starkey Cares Hearing Smiles Outreach event in Washington Heights, NY, providing hearing health services to more than 100 members of the local community. The event helped raise awareness of the important role hearing health plays in overall quality of life.

“Hearing Smiles Outreach events are so important because hearing connects us to the world around us,” said Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “We have the opportunity to see ‘hearing smiles’ firsthand – the smiles on people’s faces when they hear the world around them clearly for the first time. We are giving people that connection back, and the expressions on their faces illustrate just how big of an impact hearing will have on their life.”

Starkey partnered with New York Attorney General Letitia James and Luis Miranda to put on the event for the Washington Heights community. Starkey conducted hearing screenings, provided industry-leading hearing aids, and will provide follow up services to the patients who received new hearing aids.
