The focus is to heighten awareness of preventable health problems in men and encourage early detection and treatment of disease.
Hearing loss is one such health issue that can and should be detected and treated early. Research has shown that untreated hearing loss is linked to numerous quality-of-life issues, like increased risk of falls, employment and salary imbalances, social isolation, and cognition and dementia concerns, just to name a few.
Our new Men’s Health Month web page tells the story of three men who pushed back against any perceived stigma of wearing hearing aids to proactively pursue better hearing and a better quality of life.
It also features more information on why men should get their hearing checked and makes it super easy to set up a consultation with a hearing healthcare professional near you. Check it out here— and make June the month you take charge of your hearing and your health!
Hear better. Live better.
