If you’ve been following our #HearingFactFriday blogs for the past year — or have done any research on your own about hearing loss — you know there is considerable research linking untreated hearing loss to a host of quality-of-life issues including impaired memory, diminished cognitive function and social isolation, which itself leads to additional concerns.
Likewise, #HearingFactFriday followers will also have learned that treating hearing loss has been shown to combat or delay many of these ill effects (see here and here, for instance).
We particularly like today’s fact, which comes from research done by the Better Hearing Institute. It seems like a very good reason to want to test your hearing regularly, and partner with a hearing professional who can help you stay on top of your hearing health.
